The Laser Applications to Chemical, Security, and Environmental Analysis (LACSEA) topical meeting focuses on laser-based sensing in combustion or industrial process gases, gases that may contain chemical or biological agents, and in atmospheric gases. Sensing of liquids (e.g., aerosols) and solids (e.g., particulates or explosives) are also discussed. The rapid development of laser technologies as well as data analysis tools are paving the way for novel monitoring schemes and even real-time control in various environments.
The following EMRP project will be presenting at the meeting:
- Metrology for airborne molecular contamination in manufacturing environments (IND63 MetAMC) - using state-of-the-art techniques for practical airborne molecular contamination monitoring to develop portable ultra-sensitive monitoring equipment for use in manufacturing environments.
- Metrology for ammonia in ambient air (ENV55 MetNH3) - developing traceable measurements of ammonia in air and provide standards for the measurement of ammonia concentrations under ambient conditions
