Gas reference generators to be demonstrated at CIM 2017

EURAMET stand at Internal Metrology Congress will demonstrate portable gas reference generators developed in EMRP project
Recognising the hazards posed by pollution, the EU has developed an extensive body of legislation which establishes health-based standards and objectives for pollutants in the atmosphere. Key to the successful implementation of these policies is the measurement infrastructure that enables environmental data to be robust and consistent.
Portable generators for dynamically producing reference gas mixtures of reactive compounds at amounts present in the atmosphere have been developed in the EMRP project Metrology for VOC indicators in air pollution and climate change (ENV56 KEY-VOCs).
These generators, which support atmospheric monitoring and ensure consistency between laboratories responsible, will be demonstrated on the EURAMET stand at the 18th Internal Metrology Congress (CIM 2017), 19 - 21 September 2017, and illustrated in a poster at the congress.
The full congress programme and registration details can be found on the congress website.
