EMRP project Metrology for efficient and safe innovative lighting (ENG62 MESail) will develop measurement solutions and an advanced metrological framework for novel SSL products. A new set of metrics will also be developed through physiological studies to investigate safety and comfort aspects of lighting and user perception.
ENG62 JRP-Partners will be presenting results of the project at the next session of CIE. The International Commission on Illumination (CIE) has recently celebrated its 100th anniversary as the core international organisation for cooperation and exchange of information on all aspects of light and lighting. A session is both a scientific meeting and a turning point in the lifecycle of the CIE and represent an opportunity for everyone with an interest in light and lighting, from whatever branch of art or science, to come together and discuss their interests with like-minded people from around the globe. The central part of the Session for many delegates is the conference, together with its exhibition and of course the chance to meet and socialise with friends and colleagues.
