A half-day online workshop bringing together European National Metrology Institutes and key industry stakeholders to review ongoing research on the verification and validation of situational awareness sensor outputs used in Autonomous Transport Systems.
The workshop will explore metrological requirements and challenges associated with camera, RADAR, and LiDAR data, with particular emphasis on the effects of weather conditions. Topics will include virtual weather simulation, controlled-environment weather testing, and real-time weather sensor data collection.
The objective of the workshop is to provide an overview of current European initiatives, identify technical challenges and measurement needs, and explore opportunities for future collaboration and coordinated research activities.
