Objective
The objective of the training is to train the participants on theory and practice of verification of automatic level gauges for measuring the level of liquid in stationary storage tanks according to the OIML recommendation R-85. Practical part of the training will cover the process of verification of ALGs based on magnetostrictive principle.
The course will comprise a mixture of approximately 1 day of formal lectures and 1 ½ days of practical sessions.

NMI/DI staff performing verification of automatic level gauges for measuring the level of liquid in stationary storage tanks (according to the OIML R-85).

Participants’ capacities for verification of automatic level gauges
Guidance literature including standards and guidelines
Requirements for verification of automatic level gauges (lecture)
Practical training on verification of automatic level gauges in laboratory conditions
Day 2
Practical training on verification of automatic level gauges in laboratory conditions (continuation)
Practical training on verification of automatic level gauges (on site conditions)
Day 3
Future perspectives regarding verification of automatic level gauges
Legal Metrology aspects
Conclusions, remarks, challenges
Optional visit to IMBiH laboratories might be arranged.
