EURAMET Summer School on temperature and humidity measurements

The registration is closed.

Objective of the School
The Summer School will give metrologists new  to the field of temperature and humidity measurements an introductory overview of  the current international metrology standards, followed by more detailed insight about the thermal metrology disciplines with the aim to prepare them for their future work.

The School will provide in-depth training in temperature and humidity measurements. The course tutors are internationally recognised experts in their fields. The School will be highly interactive with plenty of time for discussions and questions. During registration students are invited to identify their specific training interest, to ensure that the course tutors can tailor the lectures accordingly.

An important part of the course will be a day and a half spent in the laboratory getting hands on experience in the practice of contemporary temperature and humidity measurements. The course will be a valuable opportunity to network with likeminded colleagues at an early stage of your career.

Who should attend
The course is primarily aimed at those in NMIs or DIs who have less than two years of experience in the field of thermal metrology or who need to gain initial experience in temperature and humidity measurements.

Lecturers at the Summer school will be world leading thermometry experts coming from NMIs and DIs from EURAMET and the wider metrology community – including PTB (Germany), NPL (United Kingdom), LNE-LCM/CNAM (France), CEM (Spain), INRIM (Italy), NRC (Canada), LNE-CETIAT (France), MIRS/UL-FE/LMK (Slovenia), SDM (Belgium) and the BIPM.

Eligibility criteria
EURAMET NMIs and DIs; further participants according to availability and upon invitation.

Registration and participation fee
The registration is closed.

A participation fee of 100 EUR (+ 22% VAT) for students for the whole course will be charged by the host to partly support logistical costs of the event. The participation fee can be paid only via bank transfer based on a pro-forma invoice issued by the host.

Accomodation
Participants are responsible for organising their own accommodation. A list with hotels where special arrangements have been agreed with can be downloaded here >>

Note
This time the thermophysical properties could not be included in the programme of the Summer School. The EURAMET training course on thermophysical properties is planned as a separate event in 2024.
