EURAMET – BIPM Short training course on comparisons in Photometry and Radiometry

Objective
The aim of the training course is to prepare future coordinators of comparisons in PR by giving them needed knowledge about:

  • requirements for protocols and final reports,
  • registration and updating the comparison status in the KCDB2.0,
  • management comparisons with the EURAMET tool Comparison Toolbox,
  • experiences with piloting comparisons - structuring a comparison, preparing the protocol, calculation of the reference value or linking to the CCPR KC reference value, problems encountered during a comparison (including logistical) and how they were solved,
  • post inter-laboratory comparisons actions: monitoring the impact of comparison results on the CMCs.

 

Anticipated target audience
Photometry & Radiometry experts from EURAMET NMIs and DIs. Colleagues from other RMOs are invited to join the event as well. Number of on-site participants is limited to 25.

Format of the workshop
In-person participation is encouraged, although online attendance will be considered in exceptional cases (e.g. for colleagues from other RMOs). Presentations may be either virtual or in person, depending on the presenter's availability.

Lecturers at the workshop
The lecturers will come from the EURAMET and BIPM.
