The gateway to Europe's
integrated metrology community.

Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements (CPEM)

The conference will take place from 6 – 11 September 2026 in Madrid, Spain, hosted by the Centro Español de Metrología (CEM).

Since its first edition in 1960, it has served as global platform for scientists, engineers, and industry experts to share advances in measurement techniques, standards, and high accuracy measurement related technologies – from dc through the optical region and is a significant symposium for Smart Grids measurements.

The conference in 2026 will showcase the latest scientific breakthroughs, innovative methodologies, and address key challenges in areas such as physical constant measurements, electromagnetic standards, precision instrumentation, and practical applications in science and industry. CEM warmly invites the global scientific, technical, and industrial communities to participate in CPEM 2026, a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge, build international partnerships, and shape the future of precision electromagnetic metrology.

Topics among others:

Fundamental constants and universality tests, Current, Voltage, DC resistance, Impedance, Magnetics, Power and energy, High voltage and current, Application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to electrical measurements.
