10 – 13 February 2025, 13:00 – 15:00 CET, online
The goal of the CCQM Task Group on Food Measurement (CCQM-TG-FOOD) is to develop descriptions of the evolving needs for metrology in the areas of food and food safety - covering all types of chemical, biological and physical measurement, and thereby update the strategic plans of technical committees operating within the BIPM system.
The Committees focus on organising programmes and interlaboratory comparisons to support National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) and Designated Institutes in providing equivalent measurement and calibration services in support of food safety and food applications.
The CCQM-TG-FOOD is holding a forward-looking workshop to gain an understanding of the future metrological needs and challenges for stakeholders in food production industries and regulatory agencies.
The workshop aims to:
- identify new measurement challenges and the benefits that metrology and NMI services could bring to these
- identify unmet stakeholder engagement opportunities to support the food sector
- expand the discussion on requirements to a broad range of chemical, biological and physical measurements within the areas covered by the Technical Committees with the BIPM system
The workshop will be four days, two hours per day (13:00 – 15:00, CET), with one hour for talks (3 x 20 minutes) and one hour for panel discussion.
