Project Description

Organisation of a combined workshop with NMIs and accreditation bodies on the following issues:

• Relations NMIs/accreditation bodies
• Flexible scope
• CMCs and the scope of the accreditation (range, Best measurement capabilities)
• List of Technical experts/Assessors

Final Report 2005-02-20

The workshop took place in Bucarest on Wednesday February 16, 2005. It followed the meeting of the EUROMET QS-Forum. About 60 persons from 25 different countries attended the workshop.The agenda of the workshop is appended to the final report. It was understood as part of the learning process initiated by the QS-Forum.
The main points and questions which were raised during the discussion are the following:

• application of the flexible scope to the calibration services of the NMIs
• possibility of EA taking into account the conclusions of the EUROMET TCs for the validation of the CMCs
• improvement the relations with EA for the technical activities
