Workshop about Pt/Pd thermocouples behaviour

Several laboratories in Europe, following BIPM recommendation, have produced Platinum/Palladium thermocouples and investigated their metrological properties. Each of them have proposed or will soon propose a reference function for these sensors.

Some of these laboratories worked in collaboration with extra European laboratories. i.e. NIST and VNIIM, so that the project should be extended at least to them.

We propose a workshop, to be held in Paris, in April or June 1997, the aim of which would be to collect any information concerning the state of the art for manufacturing the thermocouples.

• Investigation of the level of consistency of the available reference functions
