Methods and instrumentations used for laser frequency calibration of both institutes will be discussed and compared.

As proposed experts from both institutions have discussed their methods for laser frequency calibrations using iodine stabilized HeNe-lasers according to the CIPM. Work has been done using the lasers IPQ2 and BEV2 in practical experiments. Moreover the techniques used at the BEV for absolute laser frequency measurements (optical femtosecond comb generator) has been explained to the expert from IPQ.
The project finished by issuing a formal calibration certificate for the laser IPQ2 (absolute frequency calibration performed during the project).
