Training courses on temperature standards.

Project Description

Three specialist courses of 4-day duration were programmed to fulfill the training needs originating from the small NMIs. The course will concern the primary standards and methods of the ITS-90.

IMGC (IT), NPL (GB) qnd CNAM (INM (FR) proposed the following courses that will be held in their respective laboratories:

IMGC: Realisation of the ITS-90 by radiation thermometry.

NPL: The calibration of Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers above 0 °C.

CNAM/INM: Realisation of the ITS-90 in the low temperature range.

Draft programmes of the courses were circulated among the EUROMET NMI's and they were asked for comments and for priority indications. 8 NMIs communicated their interest in the participation.
