Training and practical issues in angle metrology

Proposal, October 2005

Experts from IMGC, will give training in practical issues of angle metrology (Calibration of index tables, Autocollimators, Electronic levels, etc.) to technicians of IPQ and LNMC.
The work will be performed at the laboratories of INRIM.

Final Report 2011-10-13

From September 2005 two researchers from IPQ and one from LATMB have been trained by Marco Pisani about angle calibration instrumentation and methods. As for IPQ researchers, the practical training was carried out at INRIM by calibrating the IPQ index table (MOORE 1440-288). As for LATMB researcher, the  practical training was carried out at INRIM in April 2007 by calibrating LATMB goniometer. The collaboration was fruitful both for the technical results and for the human relationship between European researchers.
