The harmonisation of the methods of calibrating and estimating the uncertainty of digital piston manometers
Project Description
The digital piston manometers are relatively new instruments derived from pressure balances. They can be used as transfer manometers with a high level of uncertainty.
There are wide variations between the ways in which national standards laboratories calibrate them and estimate the associated uncertainties.
The aim of the project is the harmonisation of both the calibration methods and the estimation of the uncertainty in the calibration and the using of this type of instrument.
Further Information
This project is a continuation of the project No 220 on the evaluation of the uncertainty of the pressure balances.
