Supplementary comparison of standards for liquid milli flow rates

Project Description

The objective of this comparison is to determine the degree of equivalence between the laboratories of standards for mili liquid flow rates under static load changes in the range of 0.5 kg/h to 10 kg/h at ambient pressure and temperature.

An Coriolis Mass Flow Meter Endress+Hauser Promass 300 DN01, for mass flow rates in range up to to 27 kg/h will be used as Transfer Standards (TS). The comparison is organised as a supplementary comparison to the EURAMET comparison No. 1706 (EURAMET.M.FF-S24), which was organised in the range of 1 g/h to 30,000 g/h at ambient pressure and temperature conditions.

The comparison was organised with two separate mass flow meters Bronkhorst Low Flow Coriolis Mass Flow Meter, mini CORI-FLOW Mass Flow meter ML120 in the range from 1 to 200 g/h and mini CORI-FLOW M14 in the range from 500 to 30,000 g/h.
Unfortunately, the evaluation showed significant instability of the results for the mini CORI-FLOW M14 mass flow meter and most of the measured flows were evaluated as inconclusive. Therefore, the participants decided to repeat a similar comparison in the necessary range with another type of meter.

The reported volumes and associated uncertainties are to be used for the calculation of the Degree of Equivalence between the participating NMI and the comparison reference value.

CMI and PTB will be responsible for the evaluation of the results.
