Supplementary Comparison: Inter-comparison of calibration of a turbine gas meter G6500

Project Description

A turbine gas meter Instromet, G6500 SM-R-XL DN400, will be used to compare low pressure test facilities over the flow range (10000 ÷ 1000) m3/h.
The gas meter G6500 will be calibrated at 11 flow rates: 10000 m3/h, 8000 m3/h, 6500 m3/h, 5000 m3/h, 4000 m3/h, 3200 m3/h, 2500 m3/h, 2000 m3/h, 1600 m3/h, 1250 m3/h, 1000 m3/h.

The laboratories should carry out the calibration using their normal procedures. The HF pulse emitter of the meter is to be used.
Piping of 10D upstream and 5D downstream will have to be used (not supplied).

If laboratories are not able to cover all the flow rates, they may calibrate the meter over part of the flow range.
Each laboratory will be responsible for the transfer of the meter to the next laboratory.

Test conditions:
Test gas: air   Test pressure: near atmospheric
Test temperature: (18 – 23) °C Relative humidity: less than 70 %
