Project Description

The goal of this project is:

• to get a picture of the European NMIs uncertainties in the field of temperature
• to share knowledge and experience in estimating uncertainty

The exchanges between the participants showed a lack of harmonization in estimating the uncertainties components.
Consequently, this project made appear the necessity to open a new EUROMET Project (Project 440). The objective of this new Project will be the harmonisation of the methods to estimate and calculate the uncertainty in temperatures measurement in EUROPE.
