Periodic peer review of QMS and measurement capabilities of LATMB

Project Description

The rules of CIPM MRA obligate the NMIs to operate a Quality Management System (QMS) in conformity with the requirements of the standard ISO/IEC 17025 to support their calibration activities. In this project the QMS of LATMB (Latvia) will be peer-reviewed, particularly in that the QMS of LATMB is a self-declared system.

The peer review will be carried out by an on-site visit of the metrology experts from Metrosert (Estonia) in the fields of Mass, Length (Dimensional) and Electrical measurements. The review will include relevant requirements for the competence stated in the standard ISO/IEC 17025 and the metrological services in Mass, Length (Dimensional) and Electrical measurements covered by CMCs (or revised CMCs to be submitted) of the institute published on the BIPM KCDB.

This project will support the development, improvement and evaluation of the QMS processes and procedures.
