Peer review of NSAI NML's Force and Torque Laboratories

Project Description

All the NMIs and DIs participating in the CIPM MRA must operate a Quality Management System (QMS) to support their calibration activities. In this project, the QMS of NSAI National Metrology Laboratory (IE) will be peer reviewed, particularly in that the QMS of NML is a self-declared system. The peer review will be carried out by an on-site visit of a metrological expert in the areas of Force and Torque, coming from the UK National Metrology Institute (NPL). The review will include relevant requirements for the competence stated in the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and the Force and Torque services covered by CMCs (or new CMCs to be submitted) of the institute published on the BIPM KCDB. This project will support the development, improvement and evaluation of QMS processes and procedures.

Peer visit to take place over 25 & 26 May 2022.
