Peer review of measurement capabilities of TÜBİTAK UME in the field of Time and Frequency

Project Description

The rules of the CIPM MRA require that the NMIs implement and operate a Quality Management System (QMS) complying with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard to support their calibration and measurement capabilities.

The peer review will cover capabilities for measurements of Time and Frequency of TÜBİTAK UME (Türkiye). The on-site peer review will be performed by a technical expert from GUM (Poland) and be focused on the relevant requirements for the competence stated in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, focusing specifically on technical aspects.


Final Report 2025-06-17

On-site peer review covering calibration and measurement capabilities of TÜBİTAK UME in the field of time and frequency was performed by technical expert from GUM (Poland) on 19 November 2024. The peer review was focused on the relevant requirements for the competence stated in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, focusing especially on technical aspects.

The peer review resulted in nine findings in total.
The findings were classified by peer reviewer as recommendations and opportunities for improvement. No findings with the nature of non-conformity was identified. 4 recommendations and 5 opportunities were registered as a results of the peer review. All findings were accepted by TÜBİTAK UME and required actions were planned for implementation.
