Measurement of long gauge block

Project Description

Two gauge blocks with nominal lengths of 500 mm and 1000 mm will be circulated among the participating countries in order to evaluate each laboratory's equipment for high accuracy calibration of long gauge blocks. The primary feature to be measured is the central length of the gauge blocks, but also the thermal expansion coefficient and the variation in length of each block will be measured if possible.
