Key comparison of ethanol/air standards

The comparison has been completed and the results are available in the KCDB.

This key comparison will link with the CCQM Key Comparison CCQM-K7 which was completed in 1999. NPL, OMH and BNM-LNE will participate in both comparisons in order to ensure that the degrees of equivalence are adequately linked.

The comparison will lead to degrees of equivalence for laboratories (including national reference laboratories and national metrology institutes) throughout Europe for the (dry) gas standards used for the calibration of evidential breath analysers. The results will underpin measurements made according to OIML procedures.

The nominal concentration of the standards will be the same as for CCQM-K.7 (120 µ mol/mol).
