Intercomparison of Water Meter Reference Standard

Project Description

A Turbine Flow meter will be used as a transfer standard to compare water test facilities over the flow range (3-30)m3/h. DN 32 Bopp&Reuther type Turbine meter will be calibrated at 5 flowrates: 3m3/h, 5m3/h, 10m3/h, 20m3/h and 30m3/h.
Comparison protocol will be prepared after the agreement of EURAMET Secretariat according to EURAMET key comparison.
Used liquid will be city water. Each laboratory will be responsible for the transfer of the meter to the next laboratory.
Test conditions:
Test liquid: City Water.
Test temperature: about 20 °C

The supposed time to make calibration and to deliver the meter to next laboratory will be approximately two weeks.

Final Report 2019-03-25

Due to a identified shift regarding the reproducibility of the meter under test the project was concluded and it was repeated with a new project number as 1233 (new transfer standard and also changes in the participant countries).
