Guideline on liquid density measurements by hydrostatic weighing method

Project Description

The development of a new EURAMET guide for liquid density measurements by hydrostatic weighing method was one of the objectives of the EMPIR project 17RPT02 rhoLiq "Establishing traceability for liquid density measurements". A draft version of the "Guide on liquid density measurement using a hydrostatic weighing apparatus" has been prepared but not yet discussed by EURAMET TC-Mass.

The aim of this project is to review the proposed guideline document, improve it, finalise and publish as a EURAMET guide.

Progress Report 2026-09-11

A web meeting was held and further meetings were arranged; each participant will revise Chapters 1 to 4 of the draft in preparation for the next meeting in October/November 2026.

UME (Türkiye) is now participating in this project.
