Complementary comparison of vibration calibration

Project Description

Complementary comparison, with PTB as Pilot laboratory, based on the same protocole as the one used for the european comparison in accelerometer calibration (Euromet AUV.V-K1) described in Euromet project 579 "European comparison in accelerometer calibration", which is summarized in the following.
The task is to compare measurements of sinusoidal linear accelerations and accelerometer calibration in the frequency range 40 Hz to 5 kHz. To calibrate two piezoelectric accelerometers, Primary vibration calibration by laser interferometry in accordance with ISO 16063-11:1999 shall be used. The measurand is the magnitude of the complex charge sensitivity. The calibrations shall be performed at the frequencies of 40 Hz, 80 Hz, 160 Hz, 800 Hz, 2 kHz and 5 kHz. The preferred acceleration amplitude is 100 m.s-2 (a range between 10 m.s-2 should be complied with a maximum 300 m.s-2).
After a preparatory stage carried out at the PTB, the circulation period should finished before the end of august 2006.
PTB as pilot laboratory will be the linking laboratory to the previous Euromet comparison (project 579) performed from 2003 to 2004 and to the BIPM Key Comparison CCAUV.V-K1 (Vibration) performed from 2000 to 2002.

This comparison will be used to confirm CMCs witch will be proposed by participates MNIs for vibration measurements.

PTB as pilot laboratory will be the linking laboratory to the previous Euromet comparison (project 579) and to the BIPM Key Comparison CCAUV.V-K1 (Vibration) performed from 2000 to 2002.

The national accelerometry references are being restructured in France after the decision taken by CEA-CESTA in 2005 to stop being the reference laboratory in this domain. LNE has taken over this function and installed a new laboratory dedicated to this activity. The primary calibration vibration equipment with laser interferometer was transferred to LNE. The task is to ensure the coherence of the measurements with other countries after the transfer of the French reference. This comparison will be used to confirm the CMC witch will be proposed by France for vibration measurements.
