Comparison of torque standards from 100 N⋅m to 5000 N⋅m

Project Description

LNE has a new reference torque machine of 5000 N⋅m. This machine will be compared with the corresponding machines of PTB. The measurements will be used to support torque capability claims of LNE. Uncertainties of the 5000 N⋅m reference torque machine in the range from 100 N⋅m to 5000 N⋅m are : ± (10 mN⋅m + 5.10-5.T) (k=2).

Progress Report 2022-06-02

The measurements have not started. PTB 20 kNm deadweight machine was modernised, and now it is busy for calibration work. The start of the measurements are postponed.

The actual start depends on other projects and will be agreed later.

Progress Report 2019-03-05

The measures will be realised,when PTB will be able to do it, ie early 2020. The end of measurements is expected in April 2020 and the report in July 2020.
