Comparison of Reference Solar Cells

Project Description

A comparison of the primary calibration of reference solar cells at standard test conditions is proposed as carried out by NMIs. This will be achieved by the measurement of high quality commercial reference solar cells with WPVS design at the participant, the pilot and the participant again. Measurements are made with reference solar cells to ensure the traceability of solar modules. The comparison quantity is the short circuit current under standard test conditions. There has never been a comparison of different NMIs for reference solar cells before.

Final Report 2021-01-15

The comparison has been completed and results are available in the KCDB.

Progress Report 2020-04-21

The star like comparison consists of three parts: The measurements at all participants, the measurements at the pilot lab and the measurements at the participants again. All three parts have been finished completely and all of the participants have sent their results. The evaluation of the data has been done and the Draft A report is finalised.
