Comparison of ozone standard reference photometers

Project Description

The aim of this project is to evaluate the extent of international equivalence of measurement standards in the field of ozone concentration measurements in the low concentration range relevant to environmental monitoring (50 µm/m^3 to 500 µm/m^3).

The primary reference UV photometers (spectrometers) of LNE, NPL, OFMET and PTB will be intercompared using mobile ozone measuring instruments - also functioning according to the UV absorption principle - as transfer standards.

In addition, comparisions with gas phase titration with NO will be carried out at NPL and by boric acid buffered potassium iodide (BAKI) spectrophotometry at LNE.
