Comparison in the range (50 to 500) MPa of liquid pressure

Project Description

This comparison is planned as a follow up key comparison of EURAMET 881 in the field of hydraulic pressure up to 500 MPa.
The objective of the comparison is to determine values of the effective area of a pressure balance AP and their uncertainties at specified pressures. Additionally, the zero pressure effective area, A0, and the distortion coefficient with the associated uncertainties will have to be determined.
A Desgranges et Huot piston-cylinder assembly, a base and a mass set will be provided by UME as a transfer standard.
The pressure points will be 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450 and 500 MPa. Detailed procedure document of this comparison will be prepared and circulated to participants by pilot laboratory.
This comparison will be registered in the BIPM KCDB as a EURAMET key comparison. UME is the pilot laboratory, and PTB will take a part in this comparison for a linkage between this comparison, previous comparison EUROMET 881 and ongoing 500 MPa CCM key comparison CCM.P-K13.
