Comparison in the negative gauge pressure range

Project Description

The participants compare their results from a routine calibration in the negative gauge pressure range -95 kPa to 0 kPa. The transfer standard is a Beamex MC5 pressure calibrator equipped with a transducer for the gauge pressure range from -100 kPa to 100 kPa.

The comparison has been completed and results are published in the KCDB.

The comparison between the four participants in the range -95 kPa to +95 kPa was carried out in 2009.Two of the four paricipants had results out of claimed uncertainties. The results suggest that the negative gauge pressures are more difficult to be measured as generally assumed. A new comparison with more participants was proposed.
