Calibration of ring and plug gauges

Project Description

Three ring gauges (Ø 3 mm, Ø 40 mm and Ø 120 mm) and two plug gauges (one fiber connector standard Ø 2.5 mm and one setting gauge Ø 40 mm) will be circulated. On each standard, three diameter calibrations on different heights of the cylinder along a given reference direction have to be carried out. The pilot laboratory will provide the following form measurements: for each standard three roundness measurements at the height of diameter calibration and two straightness measurements on the appropriate generating lines.

Planned duration: 12 months.
This proposal is overlapping with the EUROMET Project 369 (Diameter calibration on precision cylindrical stadards), where the number of partners cannot be extended. The participation of the laboratories taking part in project 369 is highly appreciated !
