Calibration of high voltage thermal converters (AC-DC transfer difference)

Project Description

The object of this comparison is to measure the AC-DC transfer difference of a 1000 V thermal converter at 1000 V, 500 V and 200 V.

Measurement frequencies are : 12 kHz, 10 kHz, 20 kHz, 50 kHz and 100 kHz.

The comparison started in February 2000.

This project takes place in the frame of a CCEM project (CCEM-K9 comparison) which will be considered as a key comparison.

At the present time, 14 laboratories already participated in the frame of EUROMET, 9 of them took part in both projects.

Only one final report, reporting the measurements from both EUROMET and CCEM circulations, will be prepared. The comparison is now under responsibility of the CCEM, whose WG on Key Comparisons will have to revise the Draft B report. The EUROMET project is finished.

Final Report 2005-01-19

This project takes place in the frame of a CCEM project (CCEM-K9 comparison), which is considered as a key comparison.

The object of this comparison was to check the agreement between the NMIs for high voltage AC-DC measurements. Test voltage levels were 1000 V, 500 V and 200 V at frequencies of 1 kHz, 10 kHz, 20 kHz, 50 kHz and 100 kHz.

The travelling standards have been measured in all the participating laboratories now. The Draft A has been presented at the EUROMET AC-DC experts meeting in OSLO on June 10th – 12th 2003.

The Draft B for the CCEM project has been written and sent to the support group for corrections. It will be sent to the BIPM in the next weeks for approval. As soon as it will be approved, the draft B for the EUROMET project will be completed and sent to EUROMET.
