Calibration of Diameter Standards

Project Description

Diameter of rings, plugs and a sphere will be measured.
The measurements will be done in 2 groups. Those whose uncertainty is less (or equal) than 0,3 micrometer/50 mm belong to the Group 1 and the those who have more than 0,3 micrometer (k=2)/50 mm belong to the Group 2.

The link between the two groups will be served by 2 laboratories (NPL, IMGC) from group 1 participating in both groups.

Artefacts will probably be a ring and a plug of diameter 40 - 50 mm, a ring and a plug of diameter 3-4 mm, and a ceramic sphere of 25-30 mm diameter. A selection of artefacts is in progress.

This comparison follows the previous EUROMET 384 (EUROMET.L-K4) comparison.

Participants from outside EUROMET are welcome to participate in the project.
