Calibration of beta sources

The beta sources are calibrated by means of extrapolation chambers. Commercially produced secondary standard sources have been calibrated since about ten years. These sources have been sold world wide. The calibrations of the PTB have been compared with those of NPL(UK), LMRI(France) and NBS (USA). Good agreement was found.
