Bilateral comparison of pressure in the range of 0 MPa to 50 MPa

Project Description

The objectives of the bilateral comparison between BoM and UME are to facilitate the demonstration of metrological equivalence between the two participating National Metrology Laboratories and to validate the CMCs of BoM in the range 0 to 50 MPa. The pilot laboratory will be UME.

The transfer standard will be DPI 615 model pressure calibrator equipped with an external pressure transducer for the nominal range 0 to 70 MPa, operating on sebacate oil. It will be provided by UME.

The project is partly funded in the frame of a EUROPEAID project.

The bilateral comparison between the UME and BoM in the range of 50 MPa hydraulic pressure range was carried out in 2011. In order to minimise the drift effect due to transfer standard, pilot laboratory made two measurements before and after the participant laboratory. When the deviation and En graphs are analysed, no huge scattering were observed.
