Bilateral comparison of Force Standard Machines

UME Force Measurements Laboratory has 6 force standard machines to realize force scale in Turkey. Force scale is realized by dead weight force standard machines up to 110 kN and lever amplification machine with dead weights up to 1.1 MN and by built-up machine up to 3 MN. Romanian Metrology Insititute (INM) realizes the forces by dead weight machines up to 100 kN and by comparison machine up to 1 MN.

Intercomparison of force standard machines up to 1 MN> is planned between UME (Turkey) and INM (Romania). The purpose of the project is to ensure the coherence of the realized force scales by both countries through the 10 kN, 100 kN and 1 MN force standard machines.
