Bilateral comparison of CO in nitrogen and SO2 in air standards

Project Description

In preparation for a CCQM key comparison on CO in nitrogen (1-10 ppm range) a bilateral comparison is organized between the two piloting laboratories. In this comparison CSIR-NML will prepare two gas mixtures to be analysed by NMi-VSL and NMi-VSL will prepare also two mixtures to be analysed by CSIR-NML. This would serve CSIR-NML to validate its capabilities for this component in this range. CSIR-NML will prepare the report for this bilateral comparison.

Second part of this bilateral comparison will be focused on SO2 in synthetic air mixtures in the range from 100-1000 ppm linking to CCQM-K1d. In this case NMi-VSL will do the data treatment and prepare the report.

Final Report 2011-05-13

The comparison has been completed and the report can be downloaded here>>.

In preparation for a CCQM key comparison on CO in nitrogen (1-10 ppm range) a bilateral comparison is organised between the coordinating laboratory and another laboratory which participated in CCQM-K1. In this comparison NMISA (named CSIR NML at the start of the comparison) prepared two gas mixtures that were analysed by NMi-VSL and NMi-VSL also prepared two mixtures analysed by NMISA. This allowed for the NMISA to validate its capabilities for this component in this range and coordinate the CCQM key comparison.
The second part of this project on SO2 in air standards was not executed.
The report therefore contains only results for the comparison on CO in nitrogen.
