Short gauge blocks measured by interferometry

This comparison is equvalent to the EUROMET L-K1 comparison piloted by Laboratoire National d’Essais in France. The set of gauge blocks has similar range of lengths and similar measuring instructions as for the EUROMET L-K1 comparison. The final report is finished. No drift correction is applied to the results in our analysis. Only two measurement results give normalized error just above 1. At the Euromet TC Length meeting in Budapest in October 2001, one conclusion from key comparison EUROMET L-K1 was that it should be arranged a follow up comparison for the purpose of showing equivalence in measurements according to the MRA (Mutual Recognition Arrangement).

This comparison is equvalent to the EUROMET.L-K1 comparison (EUROMET project 471), piloted by BNM-LNE in France.

The set of gauge blocks has similar range of lengths as for the EUROMET.L-K1 comparison and the measuring instructions will also be the same as for this comparison.

Further Information

Progress report was received in April 2004. The comparison includes 16 gauges in the range from 0,5 mm to 100 mm, the material is steel and tungsten carbide.
