Peer review of calibration capabilities on volume, density and viscosity of TÜBİTAK Ulusal Metroloji Enstitüsü

The rules of the CIPM MRA require that the NMIs implement and operate a Quality Management System (QMS) complying with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard to support their calibration and measurement capabilities.

Peer review will cover calibration capabilities of TÜBİTAK UME (Türkiye) in the field of volume, density and viscosity. On-site peer review will be performed by technical expert from INRiM (Italy) and be focused on the relevant requirements for the competence stated in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, focusing especially on technical aspects.

Final Report 2025-06-10

Peer review cover calibration capabilities of TÜBİTAK UME (Türkiye) in the field of volume, density and viscosity.

On-site peer review was performed by technical expert from INRiM (Italy) from 23 to 25 October 2025.
The peer review was focused on the relevant requirements for the competence stated in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, focusing especially on technical aspects.
The peer review resulted in seven findings in total. Two of them were treated as non-conformities and were cleared by appropriate corrective actions.

The confirmation from the peer reviewer about the appropriateness and efficiency of implemented corrective actions has been received. Therefore, non-conformities were treated as closed. Furthermore, 5 findings detected during peer review were of purely recommendation nature.

All of them were accepted by TÜBİTAK UME and required actions were planned for implementation. More details about peer review could be obtained from project coordinator on request.
