Guidelines on the production and use of certified reference materials for liquid density

Project Description

The development of a new EURAMET guide for the production and certification of reference materials for use in density measurements was one of the objectives of the EMPIR project 17RPT02 rhoLiq Establishing traceability for liquid density measurements.

A draft version of the "Production and use of adequate certified reference materials for liquid density" guide has been prepared but not yet discussed by EURAMET TC-M.

The aim of this project is to review the proposed guideline document, improve it, finalise and publish as an EURAMET guide.

Progress Report 2025-10-10

Collaboration with external stakeholders (Institutes not being EURAMET members or associates) has now been successfully established, with five organisations confirming their participation.
The Draft A of the guide will be circulated for review in the coming period.
