Finalisation of the draft "Guideline on the Calibration of Automatic Gravimetric Filling Instruments"
Project Description
EMPIR project 14RPT02 AWICal Traceable calibration of automatic weighing instruments operating in the dynamic mode delivered the Guideline on the Calibration of Automatic Gravimetric Filling Instruments in 2018. However, EURAMET TC-M has not yet fully discussed a content of the proposal.
The aim of the project is to review the proposed guideline document, align its structure and content with a recently published EURAMET Calibration Guide No. 26 “Guidelines on the Calibration of Automatic Weighing Instruments” where applicable, and finalise the guideline so it can be submitted to EURAMET TC-M for the approval.

Progress Report 2025-10-16
In summer 2024, the 2018 version of Guideline on the Calibration of Automatic Gravimetric Filling Instruments was reviewed, its structure and content were aligned with EURAMET calibration guide No. 26 and some modifications were done. The guide was sent for comments of project partners in September 2024, with a deadline the end of October 2024.
By August 2025 the comments were reviewed and some of them were taken into account in order to finalise the guideline comments by consensus of all project partners. Then the final version of guidelines document was distributed among TC-M Contact Persons and SC Mass Members. No additional comments to the document were received from these contacts.
In October 2025, the document was approved first by EURAMET TC-M SC Mass members and then by TC-M Contact Persons during the EURAMET TC-M meeting in Delft (Netherlands).
The document will be sent to EURAMET Secretariat to be available for the final approval by the BoD and any necessary editing.
