Bilateral comparison in fixed points of Ag and Cu using Pt/Pd thermocouple

This project is intended to compare the freezing temperatures of the silver and copper fixed-point cells of the participants used for the calibration of contact thermometers. The intercomparison will be performed by using Pt/Pd thermocouples.

The objective of this EURAMET project is to compare realization of Freezing point of Silver (961.78 °C) and Freezing point of Copper (1084.62 °C) between the German national laboratory PTB and Croatian national laboratory HMI/FSB-LPM using long Pt/PdThermocouple. Brand new Pt/Pd thermocouple has been selected and calibrated at PTB, than it was shipped to HMI/FSB-LPM where second set of measurement was made. Results of the intercomparison showed satisfactory performance of the HMI/FSB-LPM cells.
