Workshop on conformity assessment of biomethane

Biogas plant

22 - 23 January 2019 at NEN (Netherlands Standards Institute), Delft

The project

EMPIR project <link research-innovation search-research-projects details>‘Metrology for biomethane’ (16ENG05, Biomethane) is working to develop robust and efficient test methods for monitoring key parameters when biomethane is injected into the natural gas grid and used as transport fuel.

The workshop

The project consortium is working together with standards working group ISO/TC193/SC1/WG25 Biomethane to organise a Metrology for Biomethane workshop, to be held in Delft in January 2019.

The aim of the workshop is to collect ideas for the development of standardised test methods in support of the European specification for biomethane, EN 16723. The recommendations from the workshop will be used to further shape the on-going work in the EMPIR project and the standards working group. Programme and further information.

Who should attend

The two-day workshop is open to experts in the field of natural gas, biogas, and biomethane.
