Survey: Activity quantification and dosimetry of alpha emitters in nuclear medicine

Participate in the survey by 5 January 2025 to help improve measurements of radioactivity, quantitative imaging and dosimetry for targeted alpha therapies

The project

Metrology Partnership project Metrology for emerging targeted alpha therapies (22HLT03, AlphaMet) is aiming to improve measurements of radioactivity, quantitative imaging and dosimetry for targeted alpha therapies used for cancer treatment in health care institutes across Europe.

Project objectives include the development of primary and secondary radioactivity standards for alpha emitters, accurate dosimetry calculations and activity quantification methods.

Additionally, a new imaging bone marrow phantom will be designed that increases the accuracy of bone marrow density measurements by using tissue mimicking materials and multi-modality imaging methods.

Survey on ‘Activity quantification and dosimetry of alpha emitters in nuclear medicine’

Why Participate?

Your feedback is crucial in helping the project understand the current pre-clinical and clinical uses of alpha emitters and will provide valuable information on the end-user measurements needs.

The project is organising two multi-centre intercomparison exercises: one on activity measurements with radionuclide calibrators and gamma counters, and a second one on quantitative SPECT (single-photon emission computed tomography) imaging.

This survey will also help inform potential participants in the comparisons, so please register in your interest by completing the survey.

How to Participate

Access the survey (Google Form)

The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

The deadline for completion of the survey is 5 January 2025.

It is possible to save your progress and return to the survey at a later time when logged in with Google account.

Your responses will be kept confidential and will only be used for the purposes of the survey.
For more details on how the projects handles personal data, please refer to the Privacy Notice.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the project via e-mail.

This Metrology Partnership project has received funding from the European Partnership on Metrology, co-financed by the European Union Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme and from the Participating States.
