Scientific excellence demonstrated by high frequency circuit project
Work from EMRP project HF Circuits (SIB62) features in chapter of new scientific book.
Two members of the project consortium, from NPL and the University of Leeds, have had their work on metrology for vector network analysers published as a chapter in a new scientific book titled ‘Terahertz Metrology’.
A lack of traceable measurements is preventing the use of innovative industrial electronics that operate in the high frequency range for a number of applications such as breast cancer screening and airport security scanners. EMRP project ‘Metrology for new electrical measurement quantities in high-frequency circuits’ is working to develop traceable verification techniques to benefit emerging electronics and one particular aspect focuses on measurements in coaxial lines up to 110 GHz and in metallic waveguides up to 1100 GHz.
