Registration open: EURAMET-BIPM Training Course on Intercomparisons in IR

Registration is now open for the EURAMET-BIPM Training Course on Organisation and Piloting of Intercomparisons in Ionising Radiation

NPL, Teddington, United Kingdom, 9-11 October 2019

The training course aims to prepare metrologists from the ionising radiation field to organise and pilot intercomparisons in the areas of dosimetry, radioactivity and neutron measurements. By helping to improve the skills of experts, as well as NMIs/DIs, the purpose of this course is to contribute towards the sharing the load of piloting intercomparisons between more NMI/DIs in EURAMET, and worldwide. The course is primarily aimed at those in NMIs or DIs who plan to pilot, and those taking part in intercomparisons in IR metrology in the future.

The course will provide an insight into international metrology structures and the operation of EURAMET. It will also supply in-depth training of technical and logistical aspects of performance and piloting the comparisons. The course tutors are acknowledged as world experts in their field. The course will be highly interactive with plenty of time for discussions and will be a valuable opportunity to network with leading experts and colleagues from EURAMET and beyond.

Participation is free of charge. Registration is necessary by 1 June 2019, but may be closed earlier if all available places are filled. Participation will be confirmed by 7 June 2019. The maximum number of attendees is 25.

For questions please contact EURAMET's Capacity Building Officer, Tanasko Tasić.
