EURAMET Calibration Guide No. 18 now available in Spanish language

One of EURAMET's most requested documents, Calibration Guide No. 18 'Guidelines on the Calibration of Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments', has been translated into Spanish language.

The guide from the field 'Mass and Related Quantities' contains advice on general aspects of calibration of non-automatic weighing instruments, including information not only about calibration method, evaluation of results and corresponding uncertainties, but also about additional considerations in the further operation of the instrument and its uncertainty in use.

"The translation of our guide into the Spanish language will have an important impact on its distribution. Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world with about 500 million native speakers in numerous different countries" says Nieves Medina Martin (CEM, Spain) who coordinated the EURAMET project 'Review of EURAMET cg 18: Guidelines on the Calibration of Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments'.
