Workshop: 29 September, EuMW conference: 29 September – 4 October 2019, Paris

The project

EMPIR project ‘Metrology for advanced energy-saving technology in next-generation electronics applications’ (16ENG06, ADVENT) is working to provide traceable measurements of power, power losses and emerging electronic materials properties, to aid the development of new materials and more efficient electronic components. The results will enable European industries to optimise devices and systems designed for 5G and ‘Internet of Things’ applications requiring ultra-low power, more energy efficient operation.

The workshop and conference

The EMPIR project consortium will be running a full day workshop on Sunday 29 September 2019 entitled ‘Microwave measurements at systems, components and materials levels: a global approach to improve energy efficiency of the next generation of electronic devices’ at European Microwave Week. During the workshop the ADVENT consortium will present the most recent results for microwave component characterisation as well as power measurements.

EuMW 2019 provides access to the very latest products, research and initiatives in the microwave sector. It also offers the opportunity for face-to-face interaction with those driving the future of microwave technology.

The 22nd European Microwave Week combines:

  • Three Major Conferences
  • Associated Workshops
  • Tailored Courses and Seminars for industrialists, academics and researchers
  • Leading International Trade Show

In addition, exhibitor workshops and seminars will be provided by organisations with superior expertise in Microwave, RF, Wireless or Radar.
