EMN Energy Gases Annual General Meeting and joint project workshop

The 7th Annual General Meeting of the European Metrology Network (EMN) Energy Gases was held in March 2025 in the beautiful city of Delft.

The event brought together the 22 EMN members and partners to discuss the progress of the network and strategies for the future of energy gases metrology. From thought-provoking presentations to engaging discussions, it was an inspiring day filled with collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

During the meeting, Annarita Baldan (VSL, Netherlands) was re-elected as EMN Chair starting her third three-year term.

EURAMET and the EMN congratulate Annarita on her election and thank her for her successful work chairing the EMN.

In conjunction with the annual meeting, VSL hosted a 2-day EMN Energy Gases Joint Workshop. The event featured the Metrology Partnership projects ‘Metrology Support for Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage’ (MetCCUS), Protocol for SI-traceable validation of methods for biomethane conformity assessment’ (BiometCAP), and ‘Metrology for the hydrogen supply chain’ (Met4H2).

The sessions further highlighted the importance of metrology, cooperation and innovation in shaping a sustainable energy future.

The workshop presentations are available for download on the MetCCUS website >>

The EMN Energy Gases offers a huge thank you to all participants who made the event a success with their attendance and contributions. Special thanks are extended to all the speakers for sharing valuable insights.

The EMN and its stakeholders look forward to continuing driving progress towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy landscape.
